Prosperity Social Club, located at the South end of Lincoln Park in the Historic Tremont Neighborhood, opened for business on October 21, 2005. Residing in an original 1938 barroom, Prosperity Social Club is open to the public, being a social club only in a figure of speech, behavior and attitude, a tip of the hat to a past era. Accessible from all major highways, we are where “East meets West” in the heart of Tremont.

Beginning with the art deco influenced barroom, dressed with wormy chestnut walls, Prosperity Social Club provides a trio of nostalgic atmospheres unique to any Cleveland establishment. During the warm weather that Clevelanders crave, a retro-style, “vacation themed” patio provides an urban oasis for leisurely cocktails and outdoor relaxation. To keep the fun rolling throughout the evening, our casual, kitschy game room is equipped with an old-fashioned bowling machine, pool table and vintage board games adding nostalgic activity and a comfortable area for gatherings of friends and families.

Prosperity Social Club offers a full service bar, great micro-brews on draft, a variety of affordable wines, a friendly staff and an eclectic clientele. Our kitchen stays open for late night dining with a sophisticated, tavern-style menu utilizing quality fish, meats and cheeses while also being vegetarian friendly. Live music on Thursdays and Saturdays bring listeners an array of talented musicians from the Cleveland and Akron/Canton area, playing folk, bluegrass, roots rock, jazz, funk and lounge. A truly Cleveland experience, Prosperity Social Club has a retro style and cool vibe with an unpretentious attitude.

“Prosperity has fast become the de facto Tremont gathering spot for service industry types, neighborhood folks and people who know a good thing when they see it. Quality food, a great beer and wine selection, and an immensely comfortable setting have made this bar an instant classic.”

-Doug Trattner, Cleveland Free Times

“It (Prosperity Social Club) could be described as anything from a jazzed-up VFW tavern to a sincere and stylish everyman bar. Somehow, all this variety works. Somehow, this place, crawling in yesteryear, collects no cultural dust.”

-Tim Piai, Cleveland Plain Dealer

“Prosperity fits a great niche in Tremont's nightlife: cool yet unpretentious.”

-Cleveland Magazine

“Just when it seemed as if Tremont was overrun by luxury townhouses and fancy eateries, up pops a joint that conjures up the Cleveland neighborhood's past glory... attracts a crowd that's as wide-ranging as the people who flocked to Tremont throughout the 20th century, from working-class types to artists to punks.”

-John Petkovic, Cleveland Plain Dealer

“This retro-style tavern is a time machine, where visitors can soak up another era along with their libations. But while the surroundings say 1938, the vibe is up-to-date, with au courant cocktails, a trendy beer list, and a retinue of well-priced sandwiches, salads and entrees, including the house specialty, fried oysters.“

-Scene Magazine

“Neighborhood magnet…Tremont’s newest hot spot, Prosperity Social Club, is drawing neighborhood residents in droves. It almost feels like a neighborhood social club, with parents, their children and neighbors all huddling together at tables by the wood-burning fireplace.”

-John S. Long, Cleveland Plain Dealer
