Lead singer Mikey Silas and co-songwriter/guitarist Michael Haburay, from Apostle Jones, are a genre bending, groove+soul based musical duo, from NE Ohio. They have been described as emulating artists like David Bowie and Chris Stapleton, while bringing an organic joy to their sets, seamlessly blending original and unique cover songs arrangements. Mikey discovered music through classic Soul and Rock records that belonged to his father and taught himself how to play piano to Pop/R&B hits on the radio. Michael picked up several instruments at a young age, coming from a musical gifted family. Mikey Silas was one of Cleveland’s only LGBTQ+ featured “Most Interesting People” of 2024 (Cleveland Magazine) and 2x Best of Cleveland Vocalist (Cleveland Scene). Together they share Songwriter awards from Cleveland Scene and the Cleveland Music Awards.
